Seedcamp Panel at Web 2.0 Expo

Seedcamp had a great session at Web 2.0 Expo in Berlin this week, with two panels - one with entrepreneurs and one with angel and venture investors. The latter included Christophe Maire, Lukasz Gadowski, Oliver Beste, Stefan Tirtey and - yey! - myself. The panels were moderated by Saul Klein and Reshma Sohoni, the indefatigable Seedcamp CEO (also, thanks for the Seedcamp link love and the laughs). Reshma also had a keynote on Thursday, during which she explained the Seedcamp concept.

The Seedcamp panel led to a very interesting discussion with Oliver Beste, founder of myToys, about the value of team versus idea. Oliver has assembled a fantastic crowd of entrepreneurs willing to found their next company. I have always been convinced that one of the true value-adds the investment side can provide is initial ideas as we often have more encompassing views of market including timing and exits. As Oliver starts building companies with the people and ideas he has assembled, stay tuned for updates.
